Overview UBS quad receivers are comprised of four individual down converters, designed for two way data and internet service return applications. Each module is designed to interface directly with an industry standard cable modem termination system.
This product provides an economic solution for either four or single sector wireless DOCSIS systems. It combines the convenience of having four independent field-replaceable receiver modules, with the economy of sharing one chassis containing a redundant power supply and optional high stability reference.
The unit is a low-noise, high-selectivity receiver, designed to be part of the Head-End infrastructure. RF signals in the MDS or WCS band are received from an antenna, down converted to an IF output frequency and delivered to a demodulator.
The local oscillator features excellent out-of-band rejection. The integrated, low phase noise, local oscillator permits 16QAM modulation or higher for improved return channel capacity.
The receivers incorporate an RS-485 communication interface for remote monitoring and control.
The unit is intended for indoor use and is housed in a standard EIA 19-inch rack mounting assembly. The assembly is comprised of a common chassis with four modular compartments each accept a removable receiver module.
Customized frequencies and gain configurations are available to meet specific requirements.
