DVB-T / DVB-H Exciter
Features
- Universal Exciter platform supporting proprietary waveforms (XM Radio, Sirius), industry standards (DAB, DVB-T, DVB-H, DRM, DTMB, STiMi, CMMB) and arbitrary waveform generation, including hierarchical modulation
- Replaceable input interface cards providing smooth integration of the exciter into existing and emerging data distribution links
- Built-in Linear / Non-linear pre-corrector to compensate High Power Amplifier (HPA) non-linearity and group delay introduced by RF filters
- Up-converter suitable for RF signals up to 2.7 GHz
- Control interfaces for HPA and output power monitoring
- Enhanced set of control and monitoring interfaces making the exciter the ideal solution for repeater site management
- Dial-up/Wireless connectivity for working conditions and alarms reporting
- Internal Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) provides power back-off for safe system shutdown
- Configurable to meet a particular application requirements
- Can be used as an integral part of a complete repeater solution as well as a stand alone unit for tests and measurements
- Suitable to work in SFN and MFN networks
Functions
The primary functions of the UBS Exciter are to:
- accept data from different distribution interfaces including satellite, IP network, ASI, etc.
- perform data recovery using different FEC techniques;
- encoder/decoder data;
- generate arbitrary waveforms in accordance with standard or proprietary schemes: OFDM, QAM, etc.
- up-convert signal to feed an HPA;
