The WiMAX MBS Controller from UBS enables the transporting and broadcasting of Digital Video services over existing WiMAX networks
The MBS Controller encapsulates Digital Video Transport Stream into WiMAX MBS frames forwarding them to the ASN Gateway
The main requirement to the MBS Controller is to preserve specific timing components for accurate time slicing and SFN synchronization on the receivers.

Overview

UBS Digital Video technology will enable WiMAX networks to deliver live video and multimedia services to handheld devices offering the advantages of highly efficient, reliable transport and power savings on the receivers. The objective of the UBS MBS Controller is to enable the re-use of the existing WiMAX infrastructure to deliver digital video services directly to mobile receivers and hence speed-up the technology adoption time.
