Overview

This product is a custom stripline modulator-duplexer designed for use in military test set comforming to MIL-T-28800, Type I, Class 2 requirements. This product operates over the TACAN frequency range from 960 MHz to 1215 MHz its rugged construction enables it to operate in ambient temperatures from –40 °C to 75 °C and altitudes up to 40,000 ft. The modulator-duplexer incorporates a PIN diode modulator for the purpose of amplitude-modulating a CW signal applied to the appropriate input port. The resultant output signal is a series of RF pulses conforming to specified requirements. Protection against input signals in excess of the normal operating conditions is provided through the use of a limiter-diode circuit in conjunction with integrated bandpass filters.
